Invitation to the “Interdisciplinary Research Colloquium” of the Brandenburg Medical School and the Brandenburg Faculty for Health Sciences
Providing high-quality and efficient healthcare is a key goal of healthcare systems. The free choice of a doctor and the high density of doctors in the outpatient sector in Germany mean that coordination between the various disciplines is required for continuous and high-quality patient care.
In her lecture, Dr. Ronja Flemming, research associate in the Department of Health Economics at the Technical University of Munich, illustrates how the innovation fund project “Accountable Care in Germany (ACD)” examined whether the quality of care for chronically ill patients could be improved through structured feedback and active networking of service providers.
In the project, outpatient service providers who were jointly involved in the care of chronically ill patients were identified using network analysis methods. Based on the “Audit and Feedback” concept as a quality management tool, quality indicators were developed, which were made available to the service providers in the form of structured feedback in organized network meetings.
