As a result of their interdisciplinary orientation, our 16 new professorships complement the educational profiles of the affiliated universities with innovative courses of study in the health sciences. Students on all courses will be members of the faculty and will therefore also benefit from the expertise of the university teachers who are not employed at their own affiliated university.
In cooperation with existing professorships in the three affiliates, the following new courses are currently being developed:
In the accreditation process, planned start summer semester 2022
In the Health Service Research master’s course, students will be introduced to the various methods of health service research. Graduates can create evidence bases by means of which healthcare in structurally weak regions can be adequately designed and controlled. Particular account was taken of the specifics of an ageing population and the requirements of patients with multiple morbidities.
In the accreditation process, planned start winter semester 2022/ 2023
In the English-language masters’ course “Public Health, Exercise and Diet“, the students will be taught in-depth specialist and methodological skills in the field of public health, exercise and dietary sciences. They are given interdisciplinary scientific training and enabled to undertake independent empirical research. The master’s degree gives access to doctorate opportunities, research activities in universities and non-university facilities and consultancy work in authorities and associations.

The master’s course is being developed in cooperation with the Abraham-Geiger College at the University of Potsdam. More information on this course will probably follow in 2022.
